Grind for the Green will launch at The Youth Unity Eco-Fest . Held at Civic Center park the event is being produced by Global Exchange and will kick off G4G’s season of youth engagement. The day will feature an Environmental Youth Summit and Green Block Party and create a platform for young people to create their own environmental agenda.

Next Us is an all day pedal-powered conference that will connect bay area youth with the education and resources to begin viable careers. 20 youth emcee competitors will showcase their skills to a panel of judges and an audience of their peers. 5 semi-finalists will emerge from this event to compete for $1,000 at the G4G solar powered concert.

Grind For The Green (G4G) is the first ever youth led and produced eco-music festival. Using hip-hop as a culturally relevant framework for environmental justice, (G4G) events provide a hands-on learning atmosphere where youth from the hip-hop generation are endowed with business acumen and technical skills necessary for professional advancement. Its solar powered concert is a treat for all ages and a bold step in the name of environmental redemption.
